Lighthouse Career Consulting was founded by Merve, an experienced HR professional with more than 15 years of executive experience in Fortune 100 companies.

She works with her clients to identify the skills they acquire in school, work, military, or projects and how to transfer them into the real-world requirements of the corporate world.

As an international business professional, Merve has had extensive global work experience and a track record of working with cross cultural teams.  Her work and life allowed her to live and work in 4 different countries (US, UK, Italy & Turkey), and travel to more than 40 other. This exposure to different cultures helped her build an understanding of intercultural communications in business, and a strategy to adopt to changes in business, workplace, and life in general.

COLLEGE RECRUITER

Merve was previously the Vice President at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, co-heading the college recruitment team for EMEA, recruiting into 21 countries.  She has recruited into hundreds of roles across the whole spectrum of jobs.

For a number of years, Merve administrated BAML's global campus ATS (applicant tracking system), its LinkedIn and other social media presence, and led a wide range of projects related to recruitment practices, selection, recruitment technologies, and employer branding across UK, Europe, Asia and Latin America.

She had the honor of working with a number of the top universities in the world, as well as facilitating countless lectures and workshops in these institutions to coach and up-skill hundreds of college students in their preparation and search for their future careers.

CERTIFIED COACH

​​Merve is a passionate believer of braking barriers in employment and have led a number of diversity recruitment initiatives and partnered with organizations to spearhead the cause and support social mobility. 

 

Focusing on career and transition coaching, she is an accredited professional coach via Results Coaching (NeuroLeadership Institute), which is aligned with the International Coaching Federation (ICF), and hence bound by ICF's Code of Ethics.

Her clients range from executives to recent graduates, with backgrounds including Investment Banking, Sales, Technology, Finance, Consultancy, Law Enforcement, Military, Hospitality and Teaching.
